Me: Hello
Guy: Hi Is Valerie there?
Me: No she's at work right now
Guy: I'm calling from Aliant, I hear she's having trouble with her high speed.
Me: Not yet. . . .
Guy: ....(pause) This is Valerie Maunds' House
Me: yes
Guy: I'll call back after lunch
Me: OK Bye
Things to remember:
-Don't ask Maria about things she's not supposed to know about first thing in the morning
-This is especially the case if it's the phone ringing that wakes her up
-If you are going to get something hooked up for X-mas, tell the company that is doing it no one knows. If you don't suspicious boxes will be left on your doorstep when you are at work, and messages that give things away will be left on the answering machine.

So, we know what Maria's getting for Christmas! At least act like you didn't know when you open it Christmas morning, Practice your "surprised, I'm overjoyed and didn't expect this" face, okay?

Y'know, instead of concentrating on the fact that you annoyed that some guy on a phone you'll never hear about ever thinks you're crazy, why not enjoy the fact that you're getting highspeed? Then you can play Counterstrike with me.

Believe me. I'm overjoyed.. or at least i will be when _i_ get it. It is now officially hooked up, but I can't use it, as I don't get my airport card till x-mas. So i have to suffer the week using the internet through the old PC!!! But I will surivive. I've waited too long for this!! WooHOOOO. Thank you MIKE for hooking it up!
