I've been on the search for a new mattress for some time. The one I have now is +40 years old. I've had it since they realized that i was not going to immediately run off and take over the world (i'm still biding my time) and my parents let me out of a crib. This particular bed was my mothers before i got a hold of it, and even my sister had it for a few years.
I found out today that I'll be getting my paws on a new mattress set. Exciting! One of my very own. But in a way I'm sad. My old mattress was so comfy. It not only has a "bum hole" in it, but an entire "body hole" where it has sunk in in the middle. I have had my share of good sleeps in it (thousands if hours or more i'll bet). It's read lost of books, and housed lots of animals. (stuffed ones.. and well my pets too.) I sleep best in my mattress. sigh. But I guess it's time to let it go. It's served it's purpose. It's doned good.
I also have a small fear of the new mattress, not just because it's new and different, but because it's high. Like i mean the 3 or more feet up. Tonight's bed is but mmmmm... 2. It will be a big clunk if i fall out of the new one. I can feel the bruises already!

My mattrass is past hte point where I make Mike shaped holes in it. Now it is slowly making lumpy mattrass shaped holes in me.
