I figure that maybe i should semi explain my last post. About this time last year, I adopted a Blueberry G3 iBook.
I named her Bella. At the time Bella was running OS 9 and had a 6007mb HD (Yes, that's what it actually said on the outside of the HD). She even had an old Airport card so she is capable of wireless. With the intention of giving Bella to a loving and cherished home with one of my family members, i traded a bag of homemade Oatmeal Raisin cookies for a used 30gb HD for her, and then proceeded to do my first ever major computer surgery. All went well, and about 2 hours later Bella was up and running with a whole 30gb in space. I upgraded her to 10.3.9, and she's running beautifully.
The home i had in mind for her didn't work out due to a dial-up issue, so Bella has spent the past few months living with me, coming out for show n' tell.
Humphry is my new project. I have the same hopes for him as i do for Bella. He's orange and flashy, and believe it or not, about 6 months older than Bella. This means that, due to his generation, he comes with a 3GB HD! Needless to say he needs a HD upgrade in order to even think of putting OSX on him so that he's more user friendly and functional. So if you can help me out, that would be great.
I love the "clamshell" iBook G3's. They are flashy and sturdy and well, forgive me for saying this, but they are cute. If Humphry doesn't get a home, then perhaps i'll dedicate my Mac life to aquiring the rest of the clamshell family. Lime green, indigo, and graphite. They would be such a happy family.
