I am back at work. ...At the Anne store that is. No dress guys....Shipping and receiving again. It's been a week of trying to remember things and plowing through piles of stock that had been building up. I've gone from writing papers nonstop to playing with boxes all day. It's an exhausting shift. I'm back at the Mac shoppe tomorrow afternoon. It will be a much needed break. So far I have no big plans for this weekend. I'm up for suggestions. Then next week I'm dog sitting for most of the week and working. We'll see how that goes.

Since the end of the semester has officially hit (no marks yet....) it means its the beginning of the summer. Wellllll technically it's still spring but who's counting? This summer I'll be working about the same as last summer and add on some Mac. Nothing too stressful. I aim to keep it that way and save stress for school. As per last year, I am going to make a list of things i want to do this summer (work is a given). I aim to do all of them... and more.

Ride. I say this every year and I do it every year, mind you my involvement has changed from the carefree years of teaching summer camps and drinking barqs, but somethings remain the same. I don't have a horse again this summer. It makes things differen, a bit harder , and not as much fun in some aspects, but i've been getting along pretty good lately riding what horses need exercise. I've really been enjoying it too so I want to keep that up.

In keeping with the barn theme I want to have adventures to KGA Ladies!!!!!!!

Gatherings and parties... outings with lots of people.

Trips to the beach. Both North and South shores. So that includes trips to my Aunt and Uncles' cottage, sitting in the sun, swimming with friends, and taking the dog to swim.

Walks in the setting sun, under the stars, and maybe even in the morning dew.

Speaking of stars.... some star watching. (balls of burning fire in space not celebrities)

Good music and some concerts (this plan is in the very early stages).

Bonfires....S'mores... mmmm. Burning things? Perhaps having a pyro as my boyfriend is beginning to rub off on me. . .No shooting fireworks at each other though!!!!

I hope to spend some family time too. There is the visit from my BC family that I have not seen in ages... and trips to the cottage..etc.

Dodgeball, capture-the-flag, other random outdoor sports. Calvinball anyone?

Books. Reading them. Fiction, non-fiction. Whatever I'm in the mood for.

Movies.

My brain is dry of ideas. But so far I think I have a pretty good list. Many things to look forward to. The things that may make the top of the list at the end of the summer may just be the things that are not on the above list (specifically) and that happen spontaneously. That's what's summer's for. I'm looking forward to a break from papers, and (gasp!) I'm even looking forward to their return.. or at least the return of classes (i think). But that is ages away and I will enjoy my break and hopefully some wonderful weather to boot!

I have got to be the biggest geek in the world. Or at least the biggest freak. I have one paper left before i can finally call myself finished for the semester. I started hard editing today since i finally finished all my other papers yesterday. So why does this make me the biggest geek? Well, what i first called standard student procrastination i now know is something else. I don't want to finish this paper. It's not that I don't want the mark, I do. But I think i'm reluctant to close off the semester. Insert "I am the biggest geek" here.

I wouldn't say this was my best semester.... but it's up there. I've had some great classes, great classmates, and great proffs. Heh, don't get me wrong, I didn't love all of my classes, nor do i want to be in a classroom all summer, but I don't want to start having to get up and go work in my Queen street basement every day. I don't want to loose the friends i've made this semester. I don't want the steady stream of feminist theory to stop filtering into my brain. I don't want poco to stop. Part of it i'm sure has to do with the fact that after this semester I only have one year left before I graduate and then (or now) I have some decisions to make. They are decisions that are no fun to make. I sympathize with all of you that are going through it right now.

I feel really detached from this last paper and i think my will for the semester to last forever is causing it. I know i will finish the paper. I will go to the poco potluck tomorrow and we'll close up the class in fabulous style. I will begin the summer of work and fall into sync with my schedule. I'll get to have adventures, beach days, riding days, Apple computers, and nights out with friends. But right now i'm in limbo, stuck between what i know will be a great summer, and what I know was a great semester.

The first person to bring me sunshine gets a Turtle egg (not an actual turtle.... a chocolate turtle brand egg). Let the games begin. Or.... you can finish my last two papers for me. Rain does nothing for my motivation. It also feels weird to have things due after exams. Usually exams are my last thing left and papers have been done before hand. This semester it was the opposite. Give me a 'M'. Give me an 'o'. Give me a 'tivation'!

I have made it through exams and now i'm working on papers. I hope to be done in a week or before if i can get myself in gear.

Tis the weekend of the bunny. I'm looking forward to some chocolate.

I go to see my eye dr on Tuesday. I'm interested in seeing how much more blind I am becoming. Hopefully not too much. So far my prescription is pretty weak and I would like to keep it that way.

Road trip with my family to Hali tomorrow. Freak Lunchbox here i come!!

I feel like if I make it through to next Wednesday at 10pm I'll be doing great. I hate exams, I really do. I have a horrible track record from past exams that is made worse by me being so worked up over me knowing i have a horrible past record that I can't improve my present track record. So circular, so dizzy, so sick. Why can't all courses just have essays and take-home exams?

Bubble, bubble, bubble. Just sitting in my bubble.

I 've come to the conclusion that I hate 1000 wrd assignments......why you ask? Because it's barely long enough to write even a standard 5 paragraph essay. You think I'm crazy for complaining about an assignment that is short and not long, well maybe so. Crazy is not new for me. I find it really hard to make a decent point or argument when i'm on such a short word limit. Not that I like writing 20 page papers or anything. . . It's just that "no more then 1000 words" is so constricting.... how about 1500 instead. Then at least I can make a decent conclusion. Maybe I should write the entire thing without pronouns or something, or I could take amber's advice and remove all spaces. . .heh.

I broke down and went shopping today. I know, i shouldn't have. I like to call it therapy. Mmmmmm shoe shopping. (It runs in the family.....can't erase something that's genetic now can you).

I would like to wish a Happy (belated due to the time difference) Birthday to LAURA!!! Mmmm cake.

Boooo on Apple for getting my hopes up for the big birthday announcements and bashing them. You know I have no patience!!! Why are you making me wait?!

Kudos to the person who invented the little packet of coffee i'm drinking. Instant coffee with sugar and coffee whitener already added. Not too shabby. But being the sugar addict i am is still had to add some sugar of my own. Mmmmm sickly sweet.

I've been staring at Mavis's screen for roughly two hours now. Uggg. I know i have things to say for this paper. I have free writing done and questions ready....but it's not happening. I tried to set deadlines for myself. I was doing really well last week with my poco paper. I had it done on time. But now i'm just treading water. I can't say I have not done any work today though. I got caught up on the readings I am supposed to be keeping up with. I think part of my problem with these next two papers is I don't know when I will be back to classes. I keep telling myself that doesn't matter and to just keep working but I am slowly sinking into vacation mode. What a shock it will be when i have to go back to classes and finals. In three weeks I will be done. Two weeks of classes followed by a week of stress from hell. Good times. Mind you it all depends on negotiations. Maybe i should start haunting the Admin in their sleep and scare them to the negotiation table.

There were a couple of clinics going on this weekend. One i purposely avoided. The other lessons I watched. It was great. I know I shouldn't dwell on the past but I would have loved to have had my pony to ride in it (as well as every day). To play and be with. It's been a year since her kidnapping. Realistically I know I couldn't have kept her and shouldn't have another right now. Money is not there. School takes my time. I'm lucky to get out once a week as is. But a girl can dream can't she? Then again, it's almost summer vacation. Who knows what will happen.
