It has been in recent conversation, the the word "fine" has come up. It's meaning has been debated. In a certain context that is. This being, when a female says it. It is during this time that it can have the hidden meaning of "I'm really pissed off and you have to figure out why". Now, i think this is quite funny. Mainly, because I am of the female sex and, if I am going to use the word fine, I will mean it? I'd like to think so, but being as it is a word that can have a "special" meaning, well i can't be so sure;).
So, finding humor in this, i decided to hunt out the other words that we as females have "alternative" meanings for. I found some general ones at a language defining site :p. Now I don't expect this to be taken seriously, or thought to be taken as completely true.......but.....Well, you can decide for yourself.
Those who were away have come home, and those who were home have gone away. The break is over, officially as of 12:00 am. I want another please. I was gipped. You owe me two days. I'll take cash, but i would prefer time. Cheques, debit and credit not accepted.
The must have's in my flag collection are complete. The Aussie flag has arrived and is hung, across the ceiling. Ahhh, the joys of not being tall. Thank you Laura for finding it for me! Elmo is my friend(as are you amber;) Thanks!).
I am going to have to force myself back into the swing of things soon. It feels like forever since I've been to campus. I don't think we have a hope in hell of getting classes canceled tomorrow, but i honestly don't think the youngins will have school. The roads are still a mess, and things are blowing around tonight. It's not fair!!!!!!
The upcoming week is predicting to be hectic. Sister is home, lots of stuff due in school, and a few commitments to deal with workwise. Life.
Time to disappear, happy snowbanks.
HOME. Technically they didn't let me out, but I'm still home. We braved the mountains and got Bruce to safety. Thank you for rescuing me in the desolate snowy desert. Goodnight.
The sun is shining brightly, the sky is a clear blue, and there is at least 8 fucking feet of snow at the bottom of the driveway. That is not counting the 5 foot drift that starts the sea of snow. All of this could be fun, if severe cabin fever and lack of human contact was not driving me up the walls and across the ceiling. The only person i have talked to face-to-face in the past 40 hours has been the scary paper man (yes man) that came to give me the paper and collect.
OUTOUTOUTOUTOUTOUTOUTOUT. Or at least let other people out so they can come visit me before i resort to standing at the top of my snowbank and yelling at the people cleaning out their driveways. (but i suspect you would fond that funny wouldn't you)
Well boys and girls, for those of you who are presently on the island. Whoa! There is a bit of snowing and blowing going on out there. A lot more then I think was expected. The city is vertually shut down. Plows are off the road, and RCMP are only responding to emergency calls.
I am inside, safe and warm. Though wanting very much not to be stuck. I need to relax. I have lots to do here. But still, I want OUT.
For those of you not onthe island, here is a taste of what is happening. My dad took this around 11:00 am, and said the drift has grown a foot since then (and that was at 11:45am)

Spring break has begun. We're officially on the second day. I don't feel like I have stopped. This is the first time since early Friday morning, that I'm not rushing off to the next activity. It feels good to stop. Sleep would be better, but that's not coming, so I will wait until it finds me.
Thought hectic, the past two days have been great. Lots of great people, a bit more freedom, as I am house sitting. A couple good rides on the pony. I'm content.
I'm trying not to fill up the break too much, as I know it will do that on it's own. I have some school stuff to do, and work with the horse that i want to accomplish. And many people I want to share this time with.
So far the evil rabbit and dog of my present residence have not eaten me;). And Amber, I still haven't broken anything!!:P
I know that time will fly, so I aim to enjoy this break to the fullest. I wish everyone fun and relaxation, as they take their respective times off.
Some random thoughts of my day, since I don't believe it is possible for me to form full, understandable ones right now.
-Cookies make a class
-Apparently I talk too fast sometimes
-There is an awful lot of info in my vertebrate notes
-I have a lot of little (but immensely important) things to take care of between now and tomorrow night
- Calligraphy pens are fun, but messy, as are oil pastels
Good night all.
Can I perhaps get some feedback on the programs:
Fire-a multi-protocol instant messenger client for Mac OS X.
Proteus-Instant Messaging application supports AIM, Yahoo, Jabber, MSN, and ICQ.
I'm experimenting with both. Just got them. I'm tired of the gliches when using MSN directly. Any Hints, thoughts, input, whatever are appreciated.
